Batik 100% Cotton fabrics are all hand woven, hand dyed & hand printed by specialist craftmen who have been passing their skill down for generations.
 
Due to the unique hand printing process of this collection, there may be some slight irregularities in the desings. We think this makes an interesting feature, with each metre of fabric being slightly different from the last! 
 
Please be aware there may be some loose dye on the surface of the fabric.
 
These Batiks are a lightweight cotton, ideal for multiple projects that include; dressmaking, crafting, accessories, tablewear, home decor, backdrops, costume making and more!  
 
Our online fabrics are sold in half metre and 1 metre lengths. Note that as standard practice all multiples of the same fabric will be cut as one continuous length.
 
 For example if you order:  1 x 1m  AND  1 x 0.5m of the same fabric you will receive a continuous uncut 1.5 metre length. 
 
A sample is 10cm x 20cm. 
 
Manufactureres Washing Instructions Recommend:
Hand washing separately in cold water taking extra care with dark colours. The dyes used include vegetable dyes and some fading may occur after washing. Please do not tumble or use bleach and use a cool iron on the reverse of the fabric for best results. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.
